Liquids should, when possible, be dispensed with before the move. Fixed pencil sharpeners or other objects protruding from furnishings should be removed prior to the move and packed away. These are just the types of objects that will damage doors and hallways.

UPHOLSTERED ITEMS
Where upholstered items are to be moved, it is sometimes essential to tag the cushions separately. This should be done on the bottom of the cushion only. Please do not, under any circumstance, place tags on the following types of material: crushed velvet, velour, and natural or brushed leather.

UNLABELLED ITEMS
Any item surplus to department needs should not be tagged. Be sure all items to be moved are tagged. Those items not tagged at the time of the move will not be relocated without consultation with your supervisor. Help us all save time by properly tagging these items.
